Who we are

TuMu Smart is a smart-home design, integration and automation business based in Cebu, Philippines. The person responsible for your personal information (the personal information controller) is Clyde Tumulak, Founder of TuMu Smart. This policy explains how we handle information you share through this website, in line with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).

What we collect

When you request a quote or a consultation, we collect only what you choose to give us:

  • your name, mobile number and/or email address, and preferred contact method;
  • the city or province of the home, its type, stage and approximate size;
  • what you'd like to automate, your security needs, the smart devices you already have, and any message you write.

We don't ask for your street address, ID numbers or payment details through this website. If you contact us by email, Messenger or phone, we receive the details you share there.

Why we use it

We use your information only to reply to your enquiry, arrange a consultation, assess your home's requirements and prepare a proposal or quotation — and, if you become a customer, to install, support and maintain your system. We rely on your consent (given when you submit the form) and on the steps needed before entering into an agreement with you. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.

Who else handles it

To run this website and communicate with you, your information passes through a few service providers, under their own security and privacy terms:

  • Cloudflare, which hosts this website and processes form submissions;
  • Google (Gmail), where enquiries and emails are received;
  • Meta (Facebook Messenger), if you choose to message us there.

Some of these providers may store data outside the Philippines. We share your information with no one else, unless required by law.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don't lead to a project are deleted 12 months after our last contact with you.
  • If you become a customer, we keep your project details for as long as we're installing or supporting your system, and business records for as long as Philippine tax and accounting rules require.
  • You can ask us to delete your enquiry sooner at any time.

How we protect it

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Access to enquiries is limited to TuMu Smart, and the accounts we use are protected with strong passwords. This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to:

  • be informed about how your personal information is used;
  • access the information we hold about you, and have it corrected;
  • object to its use, or withdraw your consent;
  • have it deleted or blocked, and receive a copy in a commonly used format;
  • lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.
